People of the Russian Parliament to Visit Poland

Warsaw (AFP / RIA-Novosti Oana) - Chairman of Russia's Upper House of Parliament, on Sunday, started the visit to Poland, said the Russian embassy in Warsaw.

Sergei Mironov will meet with Acting President of Poland, Bronisław Komorowski, and Prime Minister Donald Tusk, as well as the region attended the opening of the Second Forum of Russia and Poland.

Mironov will also visit Krakow to lay a wreath at the tomb of the Polish president, Lech Kaczynski, who died in a plane crash last April.

He also went to the monument commemorating Soviet soldiers who died to liberate Poland during World War II.

The relations between Moscow and Warsaw to be forged by the historical events of the past, it seems increasingly improved after a plane crash last April near the town of Smolensk, Russia, which killed tens of President Kaczynski and Poland's acting high.

Bronisław Komorowski attend the Victory Day commemoration in Moscow and an honor guard unit of Poland took part in a military parade in Red Square on May 9, together with units of Russian military parade, the United States, England and France.
