Expensive Tuition, Parents Protest
Liputan6.com, Ponorogo: Hundreds of residents of Ponorogo, East Java, on Friday (16 / 7), demonstrated that school-related costs have continued to rise at the State Islamic Junior Jetis. Most parents who worked as a fisherman and informal workers are feeling the money re-registration which makes even less sense.
Previously, parents only pay USD 350 thousand. Now, they pay up to one million rupiahs. The parents of these students increasingly feel the weight of financial burden, especially after the price of essential commodities also continued to rise. (IDS / ANS)
