Liputan6.com, Sanur: orang-utan themed photo exhibition was held in Sanur Beach, Bali, Saturday (17 / 7). The exhibition displays 30 works of Indonesian photographers. The object of orang utan in the photograph are animals in the rescue and care centers in Borneo orang-utan.
Various activities of the orang-utan in the wild can be listened to visitors through a photograph, both young and old old. On the works on display this time, visitors can also get information so that a better understanding of the orang-utan habitats and behaviors in the wild.
Based on data Forum Orang Utan Indonesia, about 90 percent of the population of wild orangutans in the world are living on the island of Sumatra and Kalimantan. Though officially protected by law, the population of orangutans in Sumatra and Kalimantan endangered because of loss of homes due to the many forests that used oil palm plantations. (IAN)
