NU: Religious Activities Do Not Disturb Public Interest
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) called on the community so that in carrying out religious activities, such as assembly of remembrance and recitation, does not interfere with the public interest, for example to close the road.
The appeal is one outcome bahtsul masail (discussing the issue in terms of Islamic religious law) held by the Institute of Administrators of Large Bahtsul Masail NU (LBM-NU) at Pondok Pesantren Al-Itqon, Jakarta, Thursday.
Masail Bahtsul representative also attended the Branch (PC) NU from Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi and Banten.
In the results mentioned bahtsul masail, religious activities are disturbing the public interest is not justified according to Islamic law.
Use of public streets for religious activities are permitted only if it does not interfere with the convenience of road users, and after obtaining permission of the local government to consider the public interest aspect.
"The particular community can not impose the will on behalf of religious activity," said Vice Chairman of the LBM-KH Arwani Faishal.
The forum also does not hesitate to recommend the government to take action against perpetrators of road closure undertaken illegally and disrupt the public interest.
