Baghdad, KOMPAS.com - A U.S. soldier was killed in "combat operations" in Baghdad, Thursday (18/3/2010), the U.S. military said in a statement. The soldier was "killed in combat operations in Baghdad on March 18", the statement said without further explanation.

Sunday (14.3.2010), one U.S. soldier was killed and two people were injured in rocket or mortar attacks against American bases in central Iraq.

Soldiers are not mentioned by name were killed in the "indirect shooting attack" against a base in Diyala province north of Baghdad, the U.S. military said in a statement - refers to a rocket or mortar attacks.
