7.1 Richter Earthquake Shake Northwest China
Liputan6.vom, Beijing: Earthquake with power of 7.1 on the Richter scale shook the Qinghai Province, northwest China, Wednesday (14 / 4) morning, according to China Earthquake Networks Center. There are currently no reports of casualties so far, but some houses collapsed near the epicenter, said a spokesman for the Qinghai Provincial Bureau of Seismology.
The quake shook the Yushu County, Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, at 07:49 local time, with a depth of about 33 kilometers. Estimated epicenter located at 33.1 north latitude and 96.7 east longitude, said the China Earthquake Networks Center.
Earlier, at 05:39 o'clock local time, an earthquake with a strength of 4.7 jolted the district with a depth of about 6 miles, according to the center. (ADO / Ant)
