HP Completes Acquisition of 3Com
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Hewlett Packard (HP), Tuesday (13/4/2010) today, announced that it has completed the acquisition of 3Com Corporation. The value of these acquisitions amounted to 7.90 dollars per share cash, or approximately 2.7 billion worth of U.S. dollars.
HP will integrate network solutions, switching, routing, security and 3Com with HP ProCurve solution, thereby creating a comprehensive portfolio for the customer. Together with HP's broad coverage across the world, the portfolio will be used to strengthen HP's unified infrastructure strategy, developed through the merging servers, storage, networking, management, facilities and services.
With this merger, customers will be able to simplify its network, implement the best network structure for the company and improve IT service delivery capabilities. 3Com acquisition bid to expand HP's Ethernet switching, add routing solutions, and significantly enhance our position. 3Com also provides security capabilities of HP's network through a portfolio of their best.
