Indosiar Acquisition of Trans TV?

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The owner of Trans TV, Chairul Tanjung, asserts that there is currently no discussions related to the acquisition Indosiar by Trans TV, and this was also dismissed news circulated that Indosiar would be acquired by Trans TV.

"There is no discussion with Indosiar. Now we've got two television, namely, Trans TV and Trans 7," said Chairul Tanjung in Jakarta, Friday (16/4/2010).

According to him, it was likely if the company will increase its television stations. "If there's four so-so, if anyone would join me please, because we have been duly accepted to join the Trans TV and Trans 7," he said.

Current business measures is not only limited to the Group in the field of television media (Trans TV and Trans 7) and finance (Bank Mega), but has already expanded into the retail business by acquiring 40 percent of Carrefour's shares worth Rp 3 trillion.
