Linz, Austria (AFP / Reuters) - Cameroonian waiting for permission from FIFA for two players who have previously been included in their team that will compete in the World Cup in South Africa.
Gaetan Bong defender and striker Eric Choupo front-Moting not revealed with other players in the friendly against Georgia in Linz Tuesday, as the world football governing body did not give permission to them to switch citizenship, according to coach Paul Le Guen told reporters.
Bong is a former French junior players while Choupo-Moting has played four times for the German team under-21 years of age.
Both are descendants of Cameroon and has dual citizenship.
Under the rules of FIFA, soccer players can change their citizenship if they have not played at senior level.
Both players were selected along with other new players in the squad names 30 players for the World Cup beginning in South Africa, which will take place June 11 to July 11.
Cameroon in Group E will be faced with the Danish, Japanese and Dutch.
