Thailand's Thaksin persuade Interpol to sent home
Liputan6.com, Bangkok: The Thai government is now hunting the former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra. To that end, the Department of Special Investigation (DSI), the Office of the Attorney General, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand will cooperate approached Interpol. In particular, aim to be an Interpol red alert for Thaksin.
This statement was issued by Thailand's Deputy Prime Minister Suthep Thaugsuban, in response to Thaksin's interview with Australian Broadcasting Corporation., Not long ago. In the interview, Mr Thaksin said, "Interpol will not act on the warrant due to politically motivated."
Like other countries, added Suthep, the Thai government will provide protection to Mr Thaksin, extraditing him back to Thailand to face charges. He also does not care about Thaksin's lawyer who appealed to the Criminal Court, to withdraw the arrest warrant.
