Non Oil and Gas Exports during May Rise 4.3 Percent
Jakarta ANTARA) - Central Statistics Agency (BPS) recorded the non-oil exports in May 2010 reached 10.25 billion U.S. dollars or an increase of 4.3 percent compared to April 2010.
"While exports in May 2009 increased compared to 27.02 percent," BPS chief Rusman Heriawan said in Jakarta on Thursday.
Improving the largest non-oil exports during May 2010 occurred in the ore, scale, and gray metal of 160.6 million U.S. dollars, while the largest decrease occurred in the organic chemicals of 109.2 million U.S. dollars.
"Non-oil exports to Japan in May 2010 to reach the largest number of 1.41 billion dollars, followed by the United States 1.05 billion dollars and China's 1.01 billion U.S. dollars, with the contribution of all three reached 33.80 percent," he said.
While exports to the European Union comprising 27 countries in total achieved a value of 1.33 billion U.S. dollars.
Cumulatively, the value of Indonesian exports from January to May 2010 to 60.10 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 47.68 percent over the same period in 2009.
While non-oil exports during the period reached 48.93 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 39.93 percent.
Based on the sector, the export of industrial products for the period January-May 2010 increased by 33.74 percent over the same period in 2009, and also export of agricultural products rose 15.19 percent and mining products and other exports rose 73.11 percent.
