President: Preserve Traditional Markets
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com-President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has appealed to all government officials, both central and local levels, to maintain the existence of traditional markets.
"I appeal to all ministers, governors, and regents must keep the existence of traditional markets," the president said in Surabaya on Thursday (15/07/2010).
According to the President, may exist only in a region of modern markets, however, but the governor and the regents asked to set it up with both religions do not let off the traditional market.
He told me that he has inaugurated many traditional markets and as long as this fact can thrive. What matters, according to President, maintained cleanliness, hygiene and order.
