Typhoon Conson Landa Manila, Disconnect the Power Supply
Manila (ANTARA News / Reuters) - Typhoon Conson decided to supply electricity in the whole of Metro Manila and surrounding provinces as it moves across Fililpina main island, Luzon towards the South China Sea, but the stock market operates as usual, Wednesday.
Conson, category 1 hurricane with wind speeds of 90km per hour and gusts up to 120km per hour winds moving to the southwest part of the west with wind speeds of 22 km per hour and is in the South China Sea Wednesday evening.
Vast regions of the capital and nearby provinces suffered darkness when the electricity network Tuesday announced a cut off of electrical systems, and supply will not be restored until Wednesday morning.
The buildings in the business center gets supply of electricity from generators after the first typhoon hit the country this season.
Dozens of domestic and international airlines canceled or diverted from the main airport of Manila.
Schools closed but government offices remain open while the country began to do the clean up debris caused by Conson, which locals call it Basyang.
