A total of 41 Fire Units Mobilized

Jakarta (ANTARA) - As many as 41 units of fire trucks were deployed to cope with fires in the shopping center complex Ramayana Market Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta.

"There was an additional demand of five units, have we sent," said Fire Department official picket South Jakarta, Suparno here on Friday.

According to him, help comes from the central region, east and west for help calling a fire that has so far not been able to put out.

"The fire is not extinguished until now because of burning an average of textile materials," he said.

Suparno add a fire which occurred at about 07:00 it started from the third floor of the building, then the fire spread to other floors.

"It's pretty great as well because many of our fleet sent down," he said explaining the fire to date can not be extinguished.

Based on data from the Jakarta Fire Department, since January 1, 2009 to Friday, 02 April 2010, there have been 46 times the event fires in Jakarta, with an estimated material damages amounting to Rp11, 31 billion.
