Encourage DPR Bulog Sugar Buffer Stock Management
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Working Committee (Panja) Sugar House of Representatives (DPR) encourages Bulog to manage a buffer stock of sugar so that stability in the domestic sugar price can be maintained.

According to him, Bulog function needs to be returned as before ie maintain stable prices of basic commodities including sugar.
Chairman of the Sugar Panja, Aria Bima, explains the option to make Bulog as the manager of a buffer stock of sugar is very reasonable considering Bulog is a state-owned company that warehouses scattered across Indonesia.

Based on a count of Sugar Panja, Indonesia needs about 200 thousand tons of sugar per month for direct consumption society.
Therefore, the required buffer stock requirement of two months. To that end, Bulog will require funds of around Rp3 trillion.
"Stock it was important to keep sugar prices are not wild," says Aria.
Related problems Bulog funds needed, Azam said, Panja still be discussing the possibility of supplying sugar buffer stock management funds.
"Not necessarily from the state budget, it could also be commercial. It has not yet decided," said Azam.
