Red jerseys Armistice Request
Liputan6.com, Bangkok: After the bloody clashes with government forces over the last four days, the masses through the Red Shirt leader, Nattawut Saikua, finally requested a cease-fire. This request was submitted to the secretary general of the Prime Minister, Korbsak Sabhavasu in Bangkok, Thailand, Monday (17 / 5).
At a press conference, claiming Korbsak get a ceasefire request by cell phone from one of the leaders of the Red Shirt, Nattawut Saikua. In a talk for five minutes, saying he demanded Nattawut Korbsak withdraw the demonstrators returned to their camp. He promised there would be no single bullet was fired at security forces.
Until now, at least 37 people were killed in fighting between government forces against the Red Shirt protesters demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva, dissolve parliament and hold new elections.
