The Thai government ultimatum Red Shirt
BANGKOK, KOMPAS.com - The Thai government returned mengultimatum mass "Red Shirt" which during the last two months have staged protests in Bangkok.
Women, children and elderly people in a mass group was given the opportunity to leave the "headquarters" anti demonstrators in the heart of Bangkok on Monday (5/17/2010) this afternoon. Radio Netherlands reported, therefore, the government asked the Red Cross organizations in order to help these people to evacuate.
Earlier, in the center of demonstrators, in downtown Bangkok, applicable provisions of the curfew. However, the Thai military judge curfew provisions are excessive and counterproductive.
Based on data from the early hours last Monday, clashes between soldiers and protesters have killed 33 people. Injuries estimated 239 people.
