5.1 quake rocked the waters of East Java SR
Jakarta (AFP) - An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale shook the waters Lumajang, East Java, at 9.54 south latitude - longitude 112.84 East, Saturday (22 / 5) at around 2:56 pm.
Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics (BMKG) in Central Jakarta, Saturday, said the earthquake was centered 162 kilometers southwest of Lumajang (Java), 172 km southeast of Malang, 179 km southwest of Jember, 179 km southeast of Blitar, and 765 km southeast of Jakarta.
An earthquake measuring 5.1 Richter was at a depth of 25 kilometers and no potential to cause tsunami waves.
Previously, BMKG also inform an earthquake measuring 5 SR rocked Maluku Tual waters at the location of 5.79 south latitude and 130.43 east longitude, Friday (21 / 5) night at around 21:53 pm.
Earthquakes that are not potentially occur in the tsunami was centered 257 km southwest of Tual (Maluku), 261 km Saumlaki (Maluku), 348 km southeast of Ambon (Maluku), 380 km southwest Fakfak (West Irian), and 2622 km northeast of Jakarta (DKI Jakarta) at a depth of 146 km.
